How it works of COHEAM XT
- Ferrous ascorbate is an iron supplement. It replaces iron, which the body needs to make haemoglobin.
- Folic acid is a vitamin / nutritional supplement. It supplies a nutrient the body needs for normal function.
- Zinc is a mineral supplement. It replaces a mineral the body needs.
Dosage of COHEAM XT
Take as directed by the physician or as given on the label. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Side effects of COHEAM XT
- Dark stools
- Constipation, nausea or stomach upset
- Mild stomach upset or nausea
- Stomach upset or constipation
- Seek medical help at once for signs of a severe allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face or difficulty breathing
Precautions of COHEAM XT
- Take apart from antacids, calcium and tea or coffee
- Keep away from children — iron overdose is dangerous
- Do not exceed the recommended amount
- Not a substitute for a balanced diet
- Take apart from antibiotics such as tetracyclines or quinolones
- Consult a doctor before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking other medicines
