How it works of CURONAC
Meropenem is a carbapenem antibiotic. It is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that kills bacteria by blocking cell-wall formation.
Dosage of CURONAC
Given only by a doctor or nurse, by injection or infusion, at the dose and schedule decided by the treating physician. Reconstitute and dilute as described in the pack insert.
Side effects of CURONAC
- Diarrhoea or nausea
- Headache
- Injection-site reactions
- Skin rash
- Seek medical help at once for signs of a severe allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face or difficulty breathing
Precautions of CURONAC
- Used for serious infections, usually in hospital
- Tell the doctor about allergy to beta-lactam antibiotics
- Dose adjustment may be needed in kidney disease
- Use only on the advice of a registered medical practitioner; tell the doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking other medicines
