How it works of ICERON-S
- Magaldrate is an antacid. It neutralises excess stomach acid and relieves acidity, heartburn and gas.
- Simethicone is an anti-flatulent. It breaks up gas bubbles in the gut so gas passes more easily.
- Sodium alginate is an antacid. It forms a protective raft on top of stomach contents that keeps acid from rising.
Dosage of ICERON-S
- Measure each dose with the cup, spoon or dropper provided — never a household spoon.
- Shake well before use if it is a suspension.
- The dose is decided by the doctor, often based on age or body weight; follow the prescription and the label.
Side effects of ICERON-S
- Constipation or loose stools
- Seek medical help at once for signs of a severe allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face or difficulty breathing
Precautions of ICERON-S
- Take apart from other medicines by about two hours
- Tell the doctor about kidney disease
- Use only on the advice of a registered medical practitioner; tell the doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking other medicines
Storage of ICERON-S
Store as printed on the pack, generally in a cool, dry place below 30°C, protected from light. Keep the bottle tightly closed; once a dry syrup is mixed, use within the period stated on the pack.
