Uses of DUPIC EAR DROPS

• A combination of Gentamicin, Beclomethasone, Clotrimazole and Lignocaine in one liquid.

How it works of DUPIC EAR DROPS

• Gentamicin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic. It kills bacteria by blocking their protein production.
• Beclomethasone is a topical corticosteroid. It reduces redness, swelling and itching of the skin by calming local inflammation.
• Clotrimazole is a topical antifungal. It stops the growth of fungi on the skin by damaging their cell membrane.
• Lignocaine is a local anaesthetic. It blocks nerve signals at the site of application.

Dosage of DUPIC EAR DROPS

• Measure each dose with the cup, spoon or dropper provided — never a household spoon.
• Shake well before use if it is a suspension.
• The dose is decided by the doctor, often based on age or body weight; follow the prescription and the label.

Side effects of DUPIC EAR DROPS

• Kidney effects
• Hearing or balance problems with prolonged use
• Burning or stinging where applied
• Thinning of the skin with long use
• Mild burning, itching or redness where applied
• Redness, dryness or irritation where applied
• Seek medical help at once for signs of a severe allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face or difficulty breathing

Precautions of DUPIC EAR DROPS

• Kidney function and hearing are monitored during treatment
• Used under medical supervision
• For external use only — do not use on the face or for long periods unless advised
• Not for untreated skin infections
• For external use only — avoid the eyes
• Keep using for the full period advised, even after the skin clears
• Use only on the advice of a registered medical practitioner; tell the doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking other medicines

Storage of DUPIC EAR DROPS

Store as printed on the pack, generally in a cool, dry place below 30°C, protected from light. Keep the bottle tightly closed; once a dry syrup is mixed, use within the period stated on the pack.
