How it works of MEPORVA-LT
- Moxifloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It kills bacteria by blocking the enzymes they need to copy their DNA.
- Loteprednol is a topical corticosteroid. It reduces redness, swelling and itching of the skin by calming local inflammation.
Dosage of MEPORVA-LT
- Measure each dose with the cup, spoon or dropper provided — never a household spoon.
- Shake well before use if it is a suspension.
- The dose is decided by the doctor, often based on age or body weight; follow the prescription and the label.
Side effects of MEPORVA-LT
- Nausea or diarrhoea
- Headache or dizziness
- Trouble sleeping
- Burning or stinging where applied
- Thinning of the skin with long use
- Seek medical help at once for signs of a severe allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face or difficulty breathing
Precautions of MEPORVA-LT
- Stop and see the doctor if tendon pain or swelling occurs
- Avoid strong sunlight during treatment
- Not usually given to children or in pregnancy
- Take apart from antacids, iron or calcium
- Eye pressure may need checking with longer use
- For external use only — do not use on the face or for long periods unless advised
- Use only on the advice of a registered medical practitioner; tell the doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking other medicines
Storage of MEPORVA-LT
Store as printed on the pack, generally in a cool, dry place below 30°C, protected from light. Keep the bottle tightly closed; once a dry syrup is mixed, use within the period stated on the pack.
