How it works of VORIHIT
Voriconazole is an azole antifungal. It stops fungi from making ergosterol, an essential part of their cell membrane.
Dosage of VORIHIT
- Take as prescribed by the doctor, usually with a glass of water.
- Follow the dose, timing and duration on the prescription — do not stop early or take extra doses.
- If a dose is missed, take it when remembered unless the next dose is due; do not double up.
Side effects of VORIHIT
- Vision changes
- Skin sensitivity to sunlight
- Nausea or stomach upset
- Headache
- Local irritation (topical forms)
- Seek medical help at once for signs of a severe allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face or difficulty breathing
Precautions of VORIHIT
- Can interact with other medicines — tell the doctor what you take
- Tell the doctor about liver disease
- Complete the full course to stop the infection returning
- Use only on the advice of a registered medical practitioner; tell the doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking other medicines
