Uses of GDCET-M SYP
- A combination of Levocetirizine and Montelukast in one liquid.
- Allergic rhinitis — sneezing, runny nose and itchy eyes

How it works of GDCET-M SYP
- Levocetirizine is an antihistamine. It blocks the action of histamine, which causes allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose and itching.
- Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist. It blocks leukotrienes, chemicals that narrow and inflame the airways.
Dosage of GDCET-M SYP
- Measure each dose with the cup, spoon or dropper provided — never a household spoon.
- Shake well before use if it is a suspension.
- The dose is decided by the doctor, often based on age or body weight; follow the prescription and the label.
Side effects of GDCET-M SYP
- Drowsiness
- Dry mouth
- Headache or tiredness
- Headache
- Stomach pain
- Mood or sleep changes (report these)
- Seek medical help at once for signs of a severe allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face or difficulty breathing
Precautions of GDCET-M SYP
- Avoid driving or alcohol if it makes you drowsy
- Tell the doctor about kidney disease
- Not for relief of a sudden asthma attack
- Report any change in mood or behaviour to the doctor
- Use only on the advice of a registered medical practitioner; tell the doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking other medicines
Storage of GDCET-M SYP
Store as printed on the pack, generally in a cool, dry place below 30°C, protected from light. Keep the bottle tightly closed; once a dry syrup is mixed, use within the period stated on the pack.
